Why We Ignore Massive Changes
Creeping normality is why we adapt to major shifts we would normally reject. By moving in tiny, unnoticeable steps, radical changes become the new status quo before we even realize a transformation occurred.
Think of this as the boiling frog syndrome applied to real life. When conditions shift in small, incremental doses, our brains stop flagging them as alarms. We eventually accept drastic societal or personal changes simply because they didn't happen all at once. Recognizing this pattern is the only way to stay objective when your environment begins to shift beneath your feet.
