The World Most Expensive Missing Painting
Johannes Vermeer’s masterpiece The Concert has been missing for over thirty years. Stolen during a brazen museum heist in 1990, the painting remains at large today.
Two thieves disguised as police officers walked into the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum and vanished with the priceless work. Despite a massive ten million dollar reward offered for information leading to its return, the canvas has never resurfaced. Experts estimate its value could exceed two hundred million dollars today. It remains one of the greatest unsolved mysteries in the history of the art world.
