This book is a puzzle designed to be read in any sequence. It contains three separate mini-dictionaries that allow the reader to assemble the story like a choose-your-own-adventure game.

Written as a lexicon, the book lacks a traditional beginning, middle, or end. It recounts the mysterious disappearance of the Khazar people through three different religious perspectives. Because of this unique structure, no two readers will experience the exact same narrative journey. It remains one of the most famous examples of ergodic literature where the physical act of reading is as important as the text itself.
