In Vienna, a surreal apartment building defies architecture by banning straight lines. Created by an artist rather than an architect, the colorful structure features uneven floors and trees growing directly out of the windows.

Friedensreich Hundertwasser believed that straight lines were godless and inhuman, so he designed his building to mimic nature's curves. The structure includes over 200 trees and shrubs planted on balconies and rooftops to create a living facade. Residents even enjoy bumpy, undulating floors that feel more like walking through a forest than a hallway. This unique landmark remains a fully functional home, proving that buildings can be as whimsical as paintings.
