The Smallest House Frank Lloyd Wright Designed

The legendary architect Frank Lloyd Wright once designed a custom home for a dog named Eddie. At just four square feet, this triangular structure remains the smallest building he ever created.

Commissioned by the Berger family in 1957, the doghouse perfectly mirrored the style of the main residence Wright had previously built for them. While the original structure was sadly discarded in 1973, it was later reconstructed for a documentary film using the architect's preserved blueprints. It serves as a fascinating example of how even a world-famous visionary could bring high design to the smallest family members.
