World War One Zeppelin Bombing Raids

During the First World War, Britain faced sustained aerial bombardment from massive German airships. While often called Zeppelin raids, these terrifying attacks brought modern warfare to British civilians for the first time.

Beginning in 1915, Germany launched over fifty bombing raids against Britain using both Zeppelins and Schütte-Lanz airships.
