Before the digital age, cities relied on vast networks of underground air tubes to fire physical mail across town. These pneumatic systems moved documents and money at incredible speeds using nothing but vacuum pressure.

During the early 20th century, complex tube systems connected banks, post offices, and major government buildings. Operators would load capsules into the network, which then zipped through subterranean pipes like high-tech message delivery systems. While these networks largely vanished with the rise of the internet, they still thrive today inside modern hospitals. Medical staff use them to rapidly transport life-saving blood samples and medication between wings.
