Null Island is a famous geographic location that cannot be found on any map. It exists only as a mathematical glitch where the equator and prime meridian meet in the middle of the ocean.

This spot is technically just empty water off the coast of Africa. Software developers created the name as a clever way to catch errors when mapping databases mistakenly assign objects to zero coordinates. It has since become a legendary inside joke among cartographers. Many geographers even pretend it is a real place to help track down data bugs.
