The Century Old Forest Movement

Born in Kenya a hundred years ago, the International Tree Foundation began as an unconventional group called Men of the Trees. This organization pioneered global reforestation long before environmentalism became a popular mainstream cause.

Richard St. Barbe Baker founded the group in 1922 after witnessing widespread deforestation during his travels. He believed that planting trees was a moral obligation for humanity's survival. The organization spread rapidly, evolving from a small collective into a global force dedicated to restoring ecosystems. Today, their work continues to prove that even a simple movement can grow into a century-long legacy of protecting our planet.
