Does God Decide What Is Good

A classic philosophical dilemma asks if actions are good because God commands them, or if God commands them because they are inherently good. This simple question challenges the origin of morality.

Socrates posed this puzzle to show that linking ethics to divine will creates a tough choice. If morality is based solely on divine command, then good acts would be arbitrary.
