The Invisible Gravity Well Pulling Galaxies

Our Milky Way is being dragged toward a mysterious, invisible point in space called the Great Attractor. This massive gravity well is pulling over 100,000 galaxies across the universe toward a single, hidden destination.

Astronomers cannot actually see the Great Attractor because it sits directly behind the densest part of our own galaxy. This region, known as the Zone of Avoidance, is packed with so much dust and gas that it blocks our view of what lies beyond. Despite this, we know it exists because we can observe its massive gravitational influence on everything around us. It is effectively the cosmic anchor for our entire supercluster.
