The Invisible Glue Holding Society Together
We live inside a shared collective imagination that defines our entire reality. These invisible webs of laws, symbols, and values are what allow millions of strangers to function as a single, cohesive society.
Think of the imaginary as the secret operating system of human culture. It is not something you can touch, but it shapes how we perceive everything from money and marriage to government and justice. Because we all buy into the same set of mental symbols, we can coexist peacefully and maintain complex institutions. Without this shared internal framework, modern society would simply unravel into chaos.
