Inequality Limits Your Future Success

Inequality Limits Your Future Success

High wealth inequality actually stunts social mobility. In countries where income gaps are widest, a child born into a poor family is significantly less likely to ever rise into the middle or upper class.

This phenomenon suggests that extreme inequality creates a trap rather than a ladder. When the wealth gap is large, those at the bottom struggle to access the same quality of education or networking opportunities as those at the top. This effectively creates a rigid social structure where your economic starting point often dictates your entire life. It essentially means that the dream of working hard to improve your status becomes mathematically much more difficult.
