Your Planet Lives Inside A Bubble
Earth orbits inside a giant, invisible bubble blown by our Sun. This structure, known as the heliosphere, acts as a protective shield against the harsh radiation of deep space.
Massive stars create colossal bubbles across the galaxy by blowing intense winds of hot gas into space. Our Sun creates a smaller, local version of this phenomenon that defines the true boundary of our solar system. This bubble blocks most of the dangerous cosmic rays that would otherwise hit our planet. It is fascinating to think that we are living within a constantly shifting shield created by solar energy.
