The powerful female voice in the hit song I Would Do Anything for Love was actually a ghost performer. Lorraine Crosby recorded the vocals but never appeared in the iconic music video.

During the music video, viewers saw a model lip-syncing to Lorraine Crosby’s voice while the original singer was left entirely out of the spotlight. Crosby was credited only as Mrs. Loud on the album notes to maintain the mystery. When the song went on tour, Meat Loaf hired another singer to perform those parts live.
