Objects Have Lives Without Human Input

Object-oriented ontology argues that things exist entirely independently of us. A rock or a storm has its own reality, and it does not need a human mind to witness or define it for it to be real.

Most philosophy assumes the world only matters because humans perceive it, but this movement flips that script. It treats a cloud, a piece of plastic, and a human as equal players in a massive, interconnected reality. By removing us from the center of the universe, it suggests that objects are constantly interacting with each other in ways we cannot even comprehend.
