Located in the middle of the North Atlantic, Horta is a tiny city that serves as a vital global sanctuary for ocean sailors. It is world-famous among mariners for its legendary, vibrant marina.

Sailors crossing the Atlantic almost always stop at this port to rest and refuel before finishing their journey. To commemorate their arrival, crews traditionally paint murals on the harbor walls to bring them good luck.
