The Mughal Empires Lost Golden Peacock Throne

The legendary Peacock Throne was an imperial seat worth more than the Taj Mahal. It featured two jeweled peacocks perched on a canopy, dripping with enough gold and diamonds to make it a global symbol of unimaginable wealth.

This masterpiece was commissioned by Emperor Shah Jahan, who also built the Taj Mahal. It took seven years to complete and was encrusted with thousands of precious stones, including the famous Koh-i-Noor diamond. When the empire was later invaded, the throne was looted and eventually dismantled, causing the original design to vanish from history. Today, it remains one of the world's greatest lost treasures.
