The Forgotten Thirteen Month Calendar

A proposal once suggested restructuring our year into thirteen months of twenty-eight days each. Because every month would be identical, your birthday would land on the same day of the week every single year.

This radical plan aimed to bring perfect consistency to our schedules, eliminating the need for yearly paper calendars. For over sixty years, the Eastman Kodak Company actually used this system for their internal operations to improve efficiency. Despite its logical appeal, the plan struggled to gain international adoption and was eventually abandoned. It remains a fascinating glimpse into a world that almost organized its time much differently.
