A philosophical zombie is a person physically identical to you but with zero inner life. They act, speak, and react exactly like a human, yet they have no conscious awareness or feelings whatsoever.

This thought experiment challenges our understanding of what it means to be alive. If a being acts exactly like a human but possesses no internal experience, it suggests that consciousness might be something separate from physical processes.
