Celebrating Your Unbirthday At Disneyland
The iconic spinning tea cup ride is actually based on a celebration of your unbirthday. Instead of marking your birth, the ride honors the 364 days a year when it is not your birthday.
Inspired by Alice in Wonderland, the ride captures the whimsical logic of the Mad Hatter. It has been a staple of park life since the very first Disneyland opened its doors in 1955. Guests spin their own cups to the tune of the Unbirthday Song while the entire platform rotates. It remains one of the few attractions that lets visitors choose exactly how dizzying their experience will be.
