This paramilitary group, known as Nakam, was led by a partisan fighter who wanted to exact a proportional toll for the genocide of the Jewish people. They successfully infiltrated the water systems of Nuremberg to carry out their massive strike. The plan was only thwarted when their leader was arrested while transporting the poison, forcing him to dump the lethal chemicals into the sea. It remains one of the most chilling and desperate secret plots in postwar history.
