The Ancient Armenian Church Based In Lebanon

A major branch of the Armenian Church has been headquartered in Lebanon for nearly a century. Despite its deep roots in historic Armenia, the Catholicosate of the Great House of Cilicia functions as a global spiritual hub from Antelias.

While many associate the Armenian Church solely with the Caucasus, this historic institution relocated its leadership to Lebanon following the upheavals of the early twentieth century.
