A Book That Bans Four Vowels Per Chapter

The poet Christian Bök wrote an entire book where each chapter uses only one vowel. He intentionally restricted his vocabulary to prove that every vowel has a unique personality.

This literary experiment resulted in sentences where every word adheres to a strict single-vowel constraint. It was heavily inspired by the Oulipo movement, a group of writers who believe that strict rules actually spark more creativity. By forcing himself to write without most of the alphabet, he turned language into a complex puzzle. It took him seven years to complete this linguistic marathon.
