The Secret Origin of the Krabby Patty

Contrary to popular belief, the Krabby Patty was not an original invention of Mr. Krabs. He and his rival Plankton actually co-created the recipe as a partnership to compete against a local, failing burger joint.

Long before they became sworn enemies, the two restaurant owners teamed up to save their town from the health-violating food served at Stinky Burgers. While their original goal was to serve the community, their friendship quickly dissolved during the process of perfecting the burger. Now, Plankton spends his entire life trying to reclaim the recipe they once developed together. This tragic falling out remains the most famous grudge in Bikini Bottom history.
