The Older Than Pyramids Stone Village

The Older Than Pyramids Stone Village

Buried under sand dunes for millennia, Skara Brae is an ancient Neolithic village featuring stone furniture that predates the Great Pyramids of Egypt. This remarkably preserved site was only revealed after a powerful storm stripped away the coastal earth.

This village in Scotland offers a rare window into life five thousand years ago. Residents lived in sophisticated stone houses equipped with beds, shelves, and even drainage systems carved directly into the rock. Because the structures were encased in sand, they remained almost perfectly intact through the ages. It stands today as one of the best examples of a complete prehistoric community ever discovered.
