The Paradox of Seeking Knowledge

If you do not know what you are looking for, how could you ever find it? This puzzle, known as Meno’s Paradox, argues that learning anything new is logically impossible.

Plato introduces this riddle to challenge the very nature of discovery. He suggests that if you are completely ignorant of a subject, you cannot even recognize the answer once it appears before you. To solve this, Socrates proposes the theory of recollection, claiming that the soul already possesses all knowledge from a previous existence. Learning is therefore not the acquisition of new facts, but merely the act of remembering what you once knew.
